Pathway Kids Ministry

Pathway Kids exists to make learning about God and the Bible fun for children, while resourcing parents to disciple their kids.

Pathway Kids Ministries has three goals for every child:

  1. to help them understand that the Bible is God’s Word and is trustworthy and true

  2. to help them understand that God has created them with a specific plan and purpose in life

  3. to give them opportunity to make a personal commitment to follow Christ while in our ministry

Kids Ministries happen at the same time as our main worship service on Sunday mornings. If you're new to our community, our greeters will happily show you to the check-in area, where your child can join their age-specific class.

Pathway Kids Check-In

When you arrive, look for our Kids Check-In areas. You’ll be greeted by one of our friendly Pathway Kids Check-In leaders who is excited to meet your family and show you around our kids environment. We’ll be with you every step of the way, all the way to your child’s room.

Upon checking in, you and your child will receive matching ID tags specific to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion and you will need to keep the matching tag. After service, you will show the Pathway Kids leader your matching tag in order for your child to be released from his/her room. In the event that we may need to contact you during the service, we will display the number on your tag on the screens in the sanctuary. We ask that you immediately find a Pathway Kids staff member or leader who will direct you to your child’s room.

Fellowship

We want the kids who come into Pathway’s Kid’s Ministries to experience a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. In order to safe guard this atmosphere, we implement a strict policy against any form of negativity, rudeness, or disrespect in both demeanor and conduct. Additionally, we’ve incorporated structured group activities and designated free play times within each room. These intentional elements foster meaningful interactions among the children and adult leaders.

Discipleship

Pathway Kids goes beyond babysitting. Our classes are designed to offer children a purposeful and spiritually enriching experience. Our objective revolves around instilling a profound understanding of God's love and guiding them in embracing His Word. This is achieved by conveying fundamental Bible stories to our Preschool & Kindergarten classes. Meanwhile, students in grades 1 through 6 engage with a curriculum that leads them through the entire Bible annually, nurturing a genuine affection for Scripture and fostering a desire to live more like Jesus.

Worship and Prayer

Our 1st - 4th Grade class and Group 56 joins the adult service for Worship every week. We value the opportunity for kids to experience Pathway Church community worship right alongside their parents! Every Kid’s Ministries classroom has times of prayer on Sundays. This gives kids an opportunity to express their own needs to God and to learn to pray for others.

Communion and Water Baptism

Kids may partake in communion every second Sunday monthly in the adult worship service. Similarly, they join the adult service to observe Water Baptisms. These opportunities are for parents to teach their children about the significance of these practices. We don't provide communion or kid's church water baptism, as we view these as activities for children to do with their parents and as part of the whole church community.

Pathway Students

You Belong Here.

Every Wednesday evening Pathway Students meets upstairs, in the Great Room. Doors open at 6:30pm and service is 7:00-8:30 p.m.

Our student family gathers weekly for a time of teaching from the Bible, Spirit filled worship, and community driven small groups. All of this works towards equipping students and providing them with a space and an opportunity to own and grow in their faith.

Collectively we aspire to be the type of student ministry that Jesus left to finish the work He began. We draw on four values found in Acts 2:42 for our student family.

Jesus Changes Everything - John 14:6

When Jesus steps into the room dead things come back to life, the hopeless situation doesn’t exist. Jesus should be the center of everything we do.

Pray First - 1 Thessalonians 5:17-19

Pray isn’t our reaction it’s our strategy, prayer isn’t just another box to check off, it is aligning our heart and our will to God’s in all things.

Scripture Is Our Answer - 2 Tim 3:16-17

The Bible isn’t a book of wise sayings or exciting stories. It’s the God’s Word to whatever situation we are facing.

You Belong Here - Romans 12:16

Doesn’t matter what you look like, where your from, or what you think about Jesus right now. You Belong Here.

Parent Resources

Our goal as a Next Generation ministry is to help equip you as the parent to disciple your student. The resources listed are recommended to our parents on a variety of topics. We hope you find helpful resources in this library of books, articles, podcasts, and other tools. Our goal is to add to these resources on a regular basis to help equip you to have conversations with your students and to help disciple them in their faith.

Please note that the materials listed on this website are made available for you as resources. We have tried as much as we can to make sure these resources are as biblically and theologically sound as possible. However, these resources may not comprehensively reflect the mission and values of Pathway Church.
